The Midsummer String Quartet
We have been playing as a string quartet with
flute, for weddings in many of the
most prestigious venues in Worcestershire and the surrounding counties
since 1990. Although we can play as a conventional string quartet (2 violins,
viola and cello) we find that our string quartets including a flute (flute, violin, viola and
cello) is often a better option for weddings and corporate
functions. The sound carries better and we can offer options of
solo flute as the bride makes her entrance.
Repertoire for string quartets is extensive and spans the centuries from baroque through classical to jazz and light music
of the present day. Whether it is background music for the wedding
reception, music for the civil or church wedding ceremony, or music to
listen to in a concert performance, you can rely on our experience to
capture the mood. If the venue and weather permit we will move outside
into the gardens, engendering the mood of a bygone splendor.
