The Band plays jazz inspired by the music of the "classic" interwar years, with a creative energy that has become its hallmark. Its musicians - all well known, experienced and highly respected members of their profession - have "paid their dues" in a wide variety of important jazz contexts; most of them are associated with HARLEM, the acclaimed 1020/30s style big band performed by Paul in 1980. The band's skill, originality and phenomenal swing have excited audiences in clubs, theatres, dance halls and festivals throughout Europe, including those at the Edinburgh International Jazz Festival, and the International Promenade Concert Series
