Marilyn and her band have performed at major European international jazz festivals, and head her own series of programs broadcast on BBC Radio 2, as well as playing at jazz clubs and other venues the length and breadth of Britain. Marilyn was born in Chicago, and began her professional career at the age of 15. Her early career in the USA was in Rock and Folk music, but since moving to Britain, she has established herself as a peerless jazz and blues singer. Marilyn's repertoire is extensive, including material from some of the most scintillating decades of American music - the jazz, blues, ragtime and vaudeville music from the turn of the century to the 1940's, to music of the '70s and '80s and on into Folk
