The musicians of the full function band, some of whom served in the band of HM Royal Marines on board the Royal Yacht Britannia, offer a number of musical combinations:-

The Jazz Band - a range of appropriate jazz line-ups for toe-tapping music at almost any event.

The Big Band - the ultimate choice in big band and swing sounds of the 40's, 50's and modern arrangements of today. Full fourteen to eighteen piece band to recreate that 'big' sound.

The Dinner Trio - The rhythm section of the main function band under the leadership of the keyboard player, together with bass guitar and drums. This talented trio provides a range o f easy listening material, suitable as background music for any event.

The Brass Quintet - A very flexible ensemble suitable for background music, recitals, weddings, corporate events, fanfares, product launches and many more.

The Full Brass / Wind band - for the symphonic sound associated with the popular military bands of the HM Forces

The original band was formed in 1982, while three of its present day members served together in the Band of HM Royal Marines, onboard the Royal Yacht Britannia.

For the next five years the band not only had the privilege of working and touring all over the world, but also for playing personally for all members of the Royal family, as well as many international dignitaries and heads of State.

The Contrast Bands play regularly in the following counties:-Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex, Wiltshire and more
