The Chameleon String Quartet

Repertoire spans the centuries from baroque through classical to jazz and light music of the present day. Whether it is background music for the wedding reception, music for the civil or church wedding ceremony, or music to listen to in a concert performance, you can rely on our experience to capture the mood. If the venue and weather permit we will move outside into the gardens, engendering the mood of a bygone splendor. 

The Chameleon Quartet was originally formed in 1988 when its members were students of the Royal Academy of Music.  They received coaching from the Amadeus Quartet.  Later, after graduating, the quartet started to operate as a professional concern.

 They have performed at various festivals in this country and Europe and regularly give concerts to music societies, performing music from the classical repertoire in addition to providing “ambient” music for weddings, parties and various functions.  They are renowned for their versatility and large repertoire which covers most types of musical tastes.

Recent engagements have included wedding receptions at the House of Commons, London, The Harlington Club, Fulham, and Leeds Castle in Kent.  They also regularly play at wedding receptions at both the Sopwell House Hotel in St Albans and the Grim’s Dyke Hotel in Harrow.
