The Midsummer Musicians have been playing in many of the most prestigious venues in Worcestershire and the surrounding counties since 1990. Repertoire for a flute and violin duet is primarily baroque, with some classical and jazz [eg Scott Joplin]. In the setting of an intimate period room, the combination can be delightful. It is not an appropriate combination for a large reception, or where a broad span of musical styles is required. For this, a string quartet or flute and string quartet is most appropriate.
